  • Your passport MUST NOT expire before December 15, 2026.

    You will need a Tourist Visa to enter Brazil.
    Our office will apply for the visa for you, and you will need to supply additional information for the visa.

  • Each country’s immunization and medication requirements and recommendations are based on Travelers’ Health from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the recommendations of our contacts. These requirements and recommendations are subject to changebased on outbreaks, government mandates, etc.  

    Students are personally responsible for making medical decisions regarding vaccinations and are encouraged to evaluate their own needs and risks. Students are financially responsible for the cost of their immunizations or medications; the cost of immunizations or medication are not included in the trip price.

    We monitor outbreak situations, and vaccine requirements and recommendations could change at any time based on what is happening in the world. 

    ORU Missions strongly recommends that all students are up to date on routine vaccines, including: polio, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, HPV, Diphtheria-Tetanus-Pertussis, and Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR).

    Routine vaccines + Typhoid + Yellow Fever are recommended for Brazil.
    Filling a malaria prescription and bringing the medication is required for Brazil.

  • Peak 4 means it’s complete cross-cultural immersion; lengthy travel time; significant language differences; mostly non-American style food; harsher climate or more difficult living arrangements. If you are looking for a challenging experience, Peak 4 will grow you in every area.

    • You like having a full and busy ministry schedule

    • You have a flexible and go-with-the-flow attitude

    • You are not a strong swimming

    • You aren't willing or able to do hard labor projects
